The eclectic background of Zeynep Bıyık reflects her interest and teaching experiences. After studying Urban and Regional Planning as an undergradute, she became an assistant producer in advertising sector for a two years. She has also worked with a media company related with Istanbul Yeditepe University. After deciding an academic career, Bıyık has conducted research in the areas of Cultural and Urban Studies. She got her master degree from Istanbul Bilgi University at 2011. Her research has ranged from a focus on public space and urban renewal to cultural competency & diversity.
